Review UEFA European Football Championship 2012, or better known as the Euro 2012 soccer championship will be the national team between the 14 European countries organized by UEFA. Finals will be hosted by Poland and Ukraine on June 8 until July 1, 2012. This is the first time for both countries (Poland and Uraina) held a major tournament. The selection of the host conducted by UEFA's Executive Committee in 2007.
This followed the final round of 16 (sixteen) states, this being the last because since Euro 2016 and beyond, will be followed by 24 (twenty four) state finalist. Qualifying round followed by 51 countries, have been held between August 2010 and November 2011 who chose fourteen (14) countries to join the two countries host the finals.
Spain won the championship after beating Italy in the final match by a score of 4-0. Italy represents UEFA to follow the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup to be held in Brazil, as the second (runner up) for Spain as the winner has qualified as the winner of the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

In January 2008, UEFA President Michel Platini to give warning to the organizing committee to expedite the preparation of the implementation of the championship , in which Scotland has told UEFA that they are ready to replace the Poland-Ukraine to host , if they fail to demonstrate readiness to year . But in June 2008, UEFA said that they were not in the discussion of replacement of the host . Ukraine reported several problems that interfere with their preparation, diataranya is delayed renovation of Kiev's Olympic Stadium , and the difficulty of financing infrastructure development after the economic crisis in 2008 . After conducting the examination in April 2009, Platini remains convinced that Ukraine remains a co-host Poland but it is possible most of the matches held in Poland . Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said that his country is ready to organize this championship, but remain in the plan as co-host .
The main issues emerged in Poland in late September 2008, when the Polish government to freeze stewardship of Polish Football Association / PZPN for corruption and lift the new board. UEFA to move quickly to issue a warning that Poland could lose the right to host , as a result of government intervention . Preparatory work goes more quickly than is happening in Ukraine, after a visit in April 2009, Platini announced that all preparations go as planned and no major problems . The next month, UEFA announced the host cities in Poland is Warsaw, Poznań, Wrocław and Gdańsk . On September 2009, Platini said that Ukraine has undergone rapid progress in its preparation as the organizers of the championship host and confirm that the four cities of Kiev, Lviv, Donetsk and Kharkiv will host the championships . Kiev is also well expressed as the organizer of the final .
In an interview in the month of May 2011, Platini said that Germany and Hungary are ready to be a substitute for Ukraine unless there is progress in the preparations, a result of the emergence of doubts on the readiness . But in August, Platini visited Ukraine and stated that the ultimatum is negligible , and he was optimistic the two countries have been carrying out preparations well and did not see any major problems in its preparation . After the UEFA delegation visited Ukraine in September 2011, he declared that Ukraine is quite ready to hold Euro 2012 .
